Scott Marberry, M.D. is board certified in family medicine and primary care sports medicine and is a candidate for board certification in obesity medicine. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City in 2013. He served his residency at Florida Hospital in Orlando where he was the Chief Resident. He completed his sports medicine fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL in 2018. He has most recently been accepted as a diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine in 2022.
Before joining Family Medical Centers, Marberry was an attending physician for the Center for Health and Sports Medicine in Jacksonville, Florida. He is one of the leading experts in his field with multiple publications and educational presentations.
Marberry combines the full spectrum of family medicine care along with knowledgeable treatment for non-surgical orthopedic conditions such as arthritis, tendinitis, strains, sprains, and fracture care. He performs ultrasound diagnostics and image-guided injections for all extremity treatments, which include hyaluronic acid and cortisone injections.
Marberry has served as team physician for many high school and collegiate athletics, being present on the sidelines for immediate medical evaluation and sports physicals. He has also covered large events such as marathons and triathlon medical coverage, international volleyball (FIVB) coverage, and is one of the team physicians for USA Taekwondo. Marberry holds affiliations with the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, American Medical Association, and Florida Academy for Family Physicians.

Betsy Geraci is a certified physician assistant who joined the team with more than seven years of experience helping patients with examinations, preventative care and treatments.
Geraci earned her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Nova Southeastern University and her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of Florida. Prior to joining the practice, Geraci worked for First Coast Heart and Vascular providing inpatient cardiology services to hospital patients. She also has experience working as a geriatrics physician assistant and primary care physician assistant, providing care to people of all ages.
Certified by the Florida Department of Health Commission and the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, Geraci is also licensed by the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Heather Tarno, APRN, FNP-BC, is an advanced practice nurse with more than 12 years of experience, specializing in acute care. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner degree, from the University of Cincinnati, Ohio. Additionally, she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville.
Throughout her nursing career, Tarno has gained valuable experience through diverse clinical rotations. As a student, she completed rotations at Conviva Care Centers, Family Medical Centers and Emed Specialty Clinic, focusing on primary care in different settings. This experience allowed her to develop a comprehensive understanding of patient care across the lifespan.
Tarno’s previous role as a registered nurse at Flagler Hospital spanned a decade. During this time, she served as an emergency room staff nurse as well as a transitional unit charge nurse and clinical trainer, contributing to staff development and ensuring high-quality patient care. Additionally, Tarno worked as a medical-surgical staff nurse.
Proficient in various computer systems, including eClinicalWorks, Athena, Allscripts and Microsoft Office, she effectively manages patient records and utilizes technology in her practice.
Dedicated to the future of nursing, Tarno recently served as a clinical adjunct professor at Saint Johns River State College. In this role, she instructed undergraduate nursing students in acute care settings, including Baptist Health, Flagler Hospital and HCA facilities.
