FSU Alumna Joins Family Medical Centers’ Team of Nurse Practitioners

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., May 31, 2017 – Family Medical Centers welcomes Erin Schmid, RN FNP-C, to their San Pablo location.

Schmid is a graduate of Florida State University’s advanced nursing degree with a Master’s in Nursing and joins Family Medical Centers’ 60-plus provider team serving Jacksonville’s healthcare needs for more than two decades. Family Medical Centers provides care for men, women and children of all ages offering preventative care to chronic disease management.

Prior to Family Medical Centers, Schmid worked as a registered nurse in the Emergency Center of Tallahassee Memorial Hospital before transferring to UNC Health Care in Chapel Hill, NC. While at UNC Health Care, Schmid spent four years in their Hospitalist program gaining experience in both the Emergency Department and the Bone Marrow Transplant Department.

In addition, Schmid is Advanced Cardiac Life Support certified and board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
