FAMILY MEDICAL CENTERS WELCOMES WILLIAM NIELDS, M.D.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Nov. 17, 2014 – Family Medical Centers welcomes general practice physician William Nields to their Normandy location.

 Before joining Family Medical Centers’ Normandy location, Nields was Senior Physician at Baker County Health Department. He previously worked as the Senior Staff Physician and then as the Medical Executive Director in the Emergency Department at the Medical Center Hospital, Florida Department of Corrections.

Nields is also an associate professor, Department of General Surgery, Nova Southeastern College of Medicine.

Nields earned his doctorate degree at the University of South Florida College of Medicine in 2002. He completed his internship at the Mayo Clinic of Jacksonville’s Department of General Surgery until 2003 where he also finished his residency. He possesses certification in Lifestyle Medicine and is also a certified Complete Health Improvement Program Facilitator. He was rewarded an Excellence in Teaching Award from the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in 2003.
