JACKSONVILLE, Fla., September 1, 2018 – Family Medical Centers welcomes board certified advanced registered nurse practitioner Heather Bennett to its Middleburg location.
Bennett earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing and has more than a decade of experience as a registered nurse. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Slippery Rock University in 2008. Bennett is board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
“Heather is a welcomed addition to our Middleburg team,” said Family Medical Centers’ Benjamin Goh, D.O. “For the past 12 years, she has provided patients with optimal care in a variety of roles and was an ideal candidate for us.”
Prior to joining Family Medical Centers, Bennett was a charge nurse in the Shands Starke Regional Medical Center’s Emergency Department and worked alongside physicians while directing patient care. Additionally, she served as their Emergency Department and Chest Pain Coordinator. Before that, Bennett served as a registered nurse for Orange Park Medical Center as well as St. Vincent’s Medical Center.
“I treat patients holistically,” Bennett said. “Understanding as much about a patient as possible is key to treating them, and I feel like that attitude fits perfectly with Family Medical Centers’ approach to patient care.”
Licensed in Florida, Bennett has earned several certifications through the American Heart Association-Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Healthcare Provider.
